Terms of Use

Welcome to GOODGOVERNANCE.COM.NG, the “Site.” The following GOODGOVERNANCE.COM.NG Terms and Conditions are between you and the Site Owner and constitute a legal agreement that governs your use of the Site. The Site is comprised of web pages containing information and resources provided by the Site Owner and third party content providers. The GOODGOVERNANCE.COM.NG Terms and Conditions only govern your use of the Site. “You” means an individual who accesses the Site or contributes on the Site.

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using the Site. By accessing or contributing on the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, do not access or contribute on the Site.

  1. Accurate Information, Password & Username. Some activities like contributing on the Site require that you register on the Site. If you register, you must provide current, complete and accurate information. You agree to maintain and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and user name. You agree that if your user name and password are used on the Site, the Site Owner may attribute that use to you and you will be legally bound by it and responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify the Site immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  2. Your Conduct. You agree to use the Site only to post, comment and make contributions that are appropriate and related to the purpose of the Site. You must not misuse the Site by posting fake news, articles that will cause disunity in Nigeria or knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, or any servers, computers, or any data bases connected with the Site. You must not attach the Site via a denial-of-service attack, or a distributed denial-of-service attack. You agree that when using the Site, you will not engage or attempt to engage in any improper uses, as set out above. If you breach this section you may commit a criminal offence. The Site Owner will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will cooperate with those authorities by disclosing your name and any other relevant information that is connected to you. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Site will cease immediately.
  3. Caution about Accuracy of Information. The Site is subject to change without notice and may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions. The colours you see (E.g., brand colours) on the Site may depend on the specifications and settings of your computer and may not accurately depict the actual colours. You agree not to rely on any information provided on this Site, without your confirmation.
  4. User Content. The Site allows users to communicate to the general public via their posts or comments on the Site. “User Content” means all information, graphics, text, images, sound files, video, communications and other materials, including all metadata associated with any content that is posted to the Site by users. You are solely responsible for all User Content uploaded, posted, emailed, or otherwise made available by you or through your account. The Site Owner may not control the User Content posted or transmitted using the Site and he does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of any User Content. Although the Site Owner does not pre-screen the User Content, the Site Owner reserves the right to determine whether any User Content is appropriate and in compliance with the applicable Terms, and may pre-screen, filter, restrict, block, move, refuse, modify or remove User Content at any time in his sole discretion, without prior notice. The Site Owner will not be liable for any User Content.
  5. License to User Content. The Site Owner does not claim ownership of User Content you submit or make available using the Site. The Site Owner may disclose your identity (if he knows it) to any third party that claims any material posted or uploaded by you to the Site is a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy. By submitting, posting or transmitting User Content on areas of the Site that are accessible to other users or the public, you represent and warrant that you are the owner of that User Content or have authorization to distribute it (including all consents required under applicable privacy laws) and that the use and publication of the User Content does not violate any law. The Site Owner is not responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any materials posted by you or any other user of the Site. The Site Owner has the right to remove any material or posting made on the Site, for any reason, including non-compliance with GOODGOVERNANCE.COM.NG Rules
  6. Indemnity. You will defend, indemnify and hold the Site Owner harmless from any third party claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, relating to or arising from (a) any User Content submitted, posted, transmitted or otherwise made available under your account using the Site; (b) your use of the Site and activities occurring using your account information; (c) any violation by you of the Terms; and (d) your violation of any third party rights. This indemnification will survive the termination or expiration of the Terms and your use of the Site.
  7. Copyright Notice and Takedown Procedures. You agree to respect the intellectual property rights of third parties. If you believe that material available through the Site infringes the copyright of any third party, please notify the Site Owner. The Site Owner may remove or disable access to any potentially infringing material. The Site Owner has the right to terminate any account or right of access to the Site for infringement by the account holder.
  8. Changes to these Terms. The Site Owner reserves the right to change these Terms at any time. The updated version will be effective upon the date of posting unless indicated otherwise in the updated Terms. Your acceptance of the Terms by your continued use of the Site after the updated version of the Terms becomes effective constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated version of the Terms. If you do not agree to any updated version, you must immediately terminate your registration and/or discontinue your use of the Site.
  9. Termination. You may terminate your account registration or stop using the Site at any time. The Site Owner reserves the right to terminate these Terms and your access to the Site or any portion thereof, at any time, without notice.
  10. Notices. The Site Owner may give you all that he is required to give by any lawful method, including by posting notice on the Site or by sending it to any email or mailing address that you provided to  the Site. You agree to keep your email current.
  11. General. If a court of competent jurisdiction determines that any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, then it will replace the invalid or unenforceable provision with a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of these Terms will continue to be effective.
